Can cats eat oranges?
ASPCA lists the orange plant as toxic to cats, mainly because of the essential oils in the peel and plant. Merck notes that cats are more sensitive to essential oils than dogs.
Good to know: The same goes for tangerines and clementines. ASPCA says the fruit itself is edible, and most cats dislike citrus anyway.

Questions
Can dogs eat oranges?
Yes, but only a little. ASPCA says eating the fruit is not likely to cause more than minor stomach upset. AKC says one or two small segments a day is typically enough, depending on your dog’s size.
