Can cats eat tomatoes?
ASPCA says ripe red tomatoes are non-toxic to cats. Leaves, stems and green, unripe tomatoes contain solanine/tomatine and can cause drooling, vomiting, weakness and a slow heart rate (ASPCA).
How to serve it: ripe and red only, no green parts, just a small piece
Good to know: Keep tomato plants out of reach: Cats Protection rates them as seriously toxic, though poisoning is rare because cats seldom eat them.
