Can guinea pigs eat bell peppers?
NC State’s veterinary hospital recommends that most guinea pigs get their vitamin C from bell peppers: high in vitamin C, low in sugar. The RSPCA lists them as something they can eat often.
How to serve it: washed, stem removed; NC State says one to two tablespoons a day should be adequate
Good to know: Hot peppers are not suitable (Woodgreen).
Questions
Can guinea pigs eat bell peppers every day?
Yes, as part of the daily fresh food. It’s best to rotate: several kinds of greens are better than a lot of one.
Can rabbits eat bell peppers?
Yes, but only a little. RWAF says bell peppers can be offered occasionally and in small amounts, but should not become a regular part of the diet.
