Can guinea pigs eat lemons?

Woodgreen specifically advises against lemons for guinea pigs, as they’re more acidic than oranges. The RSPCA lists all citrus fruits among foods guinea pigs shouldn’t eat.

Good to know: The University of Zurich Animal Hospital lists citrus fruits as a vitamin C source, but only very sparingly, so we err on the side of caution. For vitamin C, NC State recommends bell peppers.
