Can rabbits eat currants?
Currants are berries, and the House Rabbit Society lists berries of any type as a treat. Berries are high in sugar, though, and should be fed only very sparingly (University of Zurich Animal Hospital).
How to serve it: washed, just a few berries
Good to know: This means fresh red or black currants, not dried currants. RWAF lists the currant plant among garden and wild plants, and PDSA lists blackcurrant leaves among safe plants to forage.
