Can dogs eat blackberries?
AKC and Dogs Trust list blackberries as a fine snack for dogs in moderation. They contain trace amounts of natural xylitol; AKC says a normal serving is safe, but large quantities can be harmful.
How to serve it: fresh and washed, whole or mashed; nothing sweetened
Good to know: Toy breeds should have only a few berries, giant breeds a handful (AKC). AKC says wild blackberries are fine too, as long as you’re sure they are blackberries.
