Can guinea pigs eat onions?
PDSA lists onions, garlic and chives among foods guinea pigs shouldn’t eat. Woodgreen adds leeks, and the RSPCA names garlic too.
Good to know: For rabbits we rate onions as toxic. None of our guinea pig sources explicitly calls them poisonous, so here it’s “better not”.
