Can guinea pigs eat parsley?
Parsley is high in vitamin C but also in calcium. Merck says not to give it often, because excess calcium may contribute to bladder stones.
Good to know: The RSPCA lists parsley as an everyday food, while Merck and the Royal Veterinary College advise moderation, so we decide cautiously.
Questions
Can guinea pigs eat parsley every day?
No, only now and then and in small amounts.
Can rabbits eat parsley?
Yes, but only a little. Parsley is higher in calcium than many other herbs (RWAF). It’s best fed as part of a varied rotation, and the University of Florida advises small amounts.
