Can dogs eat pistachios?
AKC says pistachios aren’t toxic to dogs, but advises against feeding them. They are high in fat and often salt, which can lead to pancreatitis, and even shelled nuts can be a choking hazard (AKC).
Good to know: Pistachios can grow mold that produces aflatoxin (AKC). If your dog got into a lot of pistachios or shells, call your vet right away (AKC).
