Can hamsters eat lettuce?
Yes, hamsters can eat lettuce in small amounts. The German Animal Welfare Federation lists lettuces such as butterhead, iceberg, romaine and lamb’s lettuce as suitable greens. The TVT and the Swiss animal welfare society (STS) mention lettuce too. Keep it small: Blue Cross notes that greens rot quickly once hoarded.
