Terms of Service

1. Provider and scope

Portiopet is provided by Daniel Lehner, sole proprietor, Theodor-Alt-Str. 6, 81737 München, Germany, email: kontakt@portiopet.de (see legal notice). These terms apply to the websites portiopet.com and portiopet.de and to the Portiopet app. By using them, you agree to these terms.

2. Service

The website calculators are free. In the app, your first pet is free; Premium extends the app (prices and features under “Premium & pricing”). Every food amount is a starting point based on fixed formulas – the scale decides. Portiopet does not replace advice from a vet.

We aim for reliable availability but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Purchase and contract

You buy Premium on the Portiopet purchase page in your browser (app.portiopet.com or app.portiopet.de). The seller and your contract partner is Daniel Lehner (see 1). You choose the yearly plan or “Forever”; the checkout shows the product, price and term. You can correct your entries there before paying, or close it without buying. With the pay button you make a binding offer; the contract is concluded once the payment is confirmed and Premium is unlocked. You get the confirmation by email.

Payment is handled by our payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Dublin, Ireland), for example by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Orders, subscriptions, the customer portal and the emails about your purchase are handled for us by RevenueCat, Inc. (USA).

The contract languages are English and German. We don’t store the contract text separately; you can view and save these terms here at any time. We currently don’t sell Premium to the United Kingdom and some other countries; the purchase page tells you if so. If a purchase from one of these countries goes through anyway, we refund the full amount and Premium ends.

4. Prices, term and cancellation

All prices are final prices. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act, we don’t charge VAT.

The yearly plan costs $19.99 (€19.99) a year, paid in advance for each year. The first term is one year; until it ends, you can cancel any time, effective at the end of the first year. If you don’t cancel, the plan then continues for an indefinite period, still at $19.99 (€19.99) a year in advance. From then on you can cancel any time with one month’s notice; we refund the share of the amount for the full months after the contract ends.

You can cancel in Portiopet under Premium → “Cancel your subscription”, in the customer portal (the link is in every email about your purchase) or by emailing kontakt@portiopet.de.

“Forever” is a one-time payment of $39.99 (€39.99), not a subscription.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; the instructions and the model withdrawal form are under “Refund policy”. In addition, you get your money back within 14 days of any payment, no questions asked, including renewals.

6. Your data

Your pets and entries stay on your device. If Premium ends or is refunded, every pet and all data you created stay usable. How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Portiopet unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe the rights of others (e.g. copyright), or to interfere with the security of the website or app, such as attacks or bypassing protections.

8. Ownership

Portiopet, including its texts, images, calculators and software, belongs to Daniel Lehner. You may use the website and app for your own purposes; copying or reselling is not allowed.

9. Suspension

In case of a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, or fraud or security risks, we may end Premium. Your data on your device is not affected.

10. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.

11. Final provisions

German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. If these terms change, existing purchases keep the version in force at the time of purchase unless agreed otherwise. Questions: kontakt@portiopet.de.
