Can cockatiels eat eggplant?
Yes, but only the fruit and a little: cockatiels can eat eggplant. According to NC State, birds can eat the eggplant fruit. The stems and leaves of the plant, however, are toxic because they contain high levels of solanine. Because parts of the plant are toxic, we err on the side of caution.
How to serve it: the fruit only, no stem, a small piece
Good to know: If your cockatiel got hold of eggplant stems or leaves or seems unwell, the AAV says to get help from an avian vet immediately, even if you only suspect it.
