Can cockatiels eat lettuce?
Yes, cockatiels can eat lettuce in small amounts. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) lists lettuce as fresh food for cockatiels. So does the Swiss animal welfare society (STS), naming organic lettuce. The Merck Veterinary Manual names endive among vitamin A–rich vegetables. The sources don’t say which kind of lettuce.
