Can dogs eat salami?

Better not

Salami is very salty and fatty, and neither is good for dogs. AKC says pepperoni, a spicy salami, is too fatty and too spicy for dogs, and too much salt can cause vomiting, diarrhea or even seizures.

Good to know: Salami can contain garlic or onion, which are toxic to dogs (AKC). Aujeszky’s disease virus stays infectious in cured meat for up to 20 days; in Germany wild boar carry it, so skip wild boar salami (FLI).
