Can hamsters eat garlic?
Better not: hamsters shouldn’t eat garlic. The University of Minnesota says hamsters should never be fed garlic. Woodgreen lists it among foods to avoid, and the Swiss animal welfare society (STS) says plants of the onion family must not be fed.
Good to know: If your hamster ate some and shows signs of poisoning or seems unwell, the RSPCA says to see your vet immediately.
