Can hamsters eat grass?
Yes, hamsters can eat grass in small amounts. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) calls grass seed heads good food for keeping busy. The German Animal Welfare Federation lists cat grass, and Switzerland’s federal veterinary office (BLV) suggests a little grass in the enclosure to bring in new smells and encourage exploring.
