Can horses eat sugar cubes?

Better not: horses shouldn’t eat sugar cubes. The German Animal Welfare Federation says sugar and sweet treats make horses sick. Penn State Extension and Rutgers consider sugar cubes safe in small amounts, so we err on the side of caution.
