Can budgies eat mushrooms?

Better not: budgies shouldn’t eat mushrooms. The Merck Veterinary Manual includes mushrooms (some varieties) on its list of household poisons for birds, without saying which ones.

Good to know: We found no bird source saying that button mushrooms or other edible mushrooms are safe. If your budgie got hold of mushrooms or seems unwell, the AAV says to get help from an avian vet immediately, even if you only suspect it.
