Can cats eat raclette?
Better not: cats shouldn’t eat raclette. Cheese isn’t toxic, but it’s very high in fat and salt, and many cats are lactose intolerant (Cats Protection). That can upset the stomach. Onion and garlic from the pan are toxic, and cats are even more susceptible than dogs (ASPCA).
Good to know: For a cat, three cubes of cheese equal the calories of a whole double cheeseburger for a person (PDSA). Just a tiny bit of alcohol can be extremely toxic to cats (Cats Protection). No expert source covers a raclette meal for cats by name; this applies to its ingredients.

My cat ate some raclette cheese. What should I do?
Cats Protection says there’s no need to rush to the vet over some cheese. Watch her: if she gets sick or acts differently, call your vet and say how much she ate. If there was onion, garlic or alcohol, call right away.
Are the fumes from a raclette grill dangerous?
Not for cats, according to the German Federal Chamber of Veterinarians, but they are for birds: fumes from hot nonstick pans are toxic to birds, but not to mammals. If you have a bird, use the grill in another room.
