Can cockatiels eat cheese?
Better not: cockatiels shouldn’t eat cheese. The Merck Veterinary Manual lists milk products among foods not to feed birds. Purdue, on the other hand, says many parrots love cheese and that it’s good for them in acceptable amounts, so we err on the side of caution.
Good to know: Cheese is often salty, and the AAV says birds shouldn’t be fed highly salted foods.
