Can cockatiels eat chocolate?
No – toxic. Cockatiels should never eat chocolate. The AAV says chocolate and caffeine are toxic to birds, and its cockatiel care sheet lists chocolate among things cockatiels must not get access to. Purdue says chocolate can be toxic even in tiny amounts. The Merck Veterinary Manual advises against it too, and RSPCA Australia lists chocolate in any form among foods that could be dangerous and should be kept away from your bird.
