Can dogs drink coffee?

Toxic

Caffeine is a methylxanthine like the theobromine in chocolate. Dogs are more sensitive than people; coffee beans, grounds, tea bags and caffeine pills can cause serious poisoning (ASPCA, Pet Poison Helpline).

Good to know: Per Pet Poison Helpline, one or two licks of coffee or tea are unlikely to poison most pets – beans, grounds, tea bags or pills: call your vet right away.
