Can dogs eat plums?
According to ASPCA, plum stems, leaves and pits contain cyanide. Chewed pits can release cyanide and whole pits can block the gut (Pet Poison Helpline, stone fruit in general); none of the sources recommends plums as a treat.
Good to know: Ate several or chewed pits: call your vet (Pet Poison Helpline). Watch out for fallen fruit in the garden.
Better choices, for example
