Can chinchillas eat nettles?

Yes, chinchillas can eat dried nettles. PDSA lists dried nettles among the treats its vets suggest. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) also names dried nettle, and Woodgreen lists dried nettle leaves.

Good to know: PDSA says to keep treats to a minimum and ideally dried – hide them in the hay so your chinchilla can forage for them.
