Can budgies eat rice?

Yes, but only a little: budgies can eat rice. Purdue includes cooked brown rice in a recipe for pet birds. It says grains, seeds, bread and pasta together should make up no more than half the diet.

How to serve it: cooked, plain, just a little

Good to know: We found no bird source on uncooked rice, and our German and Swiss budgie sources don’t mention rice.
