Can chinchillas eat corn?
Better not: chinchillas shouldn’t eat corn. The University of Minnesota says chinchillas shouldn’t be offered corn. NC State counts it as a high-sugar vegetable to give only as a treat of less than a teaspoon a day. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) says chinchillas don’t tolerate fresh vegetables, so we err on the side of caution.
