Can chinchillas eat parsley?
Better not: chinchillas shouldn’t eat parsley. Merck advises against parsley because it’s high in calcium. NC State lists it among high-calcium greens to rotate in only in smaller amounts. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) says fresh greens shouldn’t be fed at all, so we err on the side of caution.
Good to know: What the TVT says chinchillas need instead – hay, dried herbs and a small amount of chinchilla pellets.
