Can degus eat cucumber?

Yes, but only a little: degus can eat cucumber. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) lists cucumber among vegetables for winter in small amounts. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) lists it among fresh foods, and the Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) among foods for occasional feeding. PDSA lists cucumber among foods for only once a month because of the sugar.
