Can degus eat cabbage?

Better not: degus shouldn’t eat cabbage. The Zürcher Tierschutz says never to feed cabbage, but PDSA lists it once or twice a week in very small amounts. PDSA names all types of cabbage and Brussels sprouts and says they can cause bloating. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) lists kohlrabi, also a cabbage, among fresh foods, but we follow the Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) and err on the side of caution.
