Can degus eat rabbit food?

Better not: degus shouldn’t eat rabbit food. PDSA says to avoid rabbit, hamster and gerbil food because it contains too much protein. The RSPCA also says food formulated for other species, such as rabbits, hamsters and gerbils, isn’t suitable for degus.
