Can degus eat clover?

Yes, degus can eat clover in small amounts. The Zürcher Tierschutz lists clover for every day, but PDSA says fresh greens only once or twice a week. The Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) names clover among fresh wild herbs and says degus need fresh grasses and wild herbs such as clover and dandelion daily. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) also suggests fresh herbs and flowers every day in summer, and the Swiss animal welfare society (STS) fresh herbs and flowers 2 to 3 times a week.
