Can degus eat daisies?

Yes, in small amounts

Yes, degus can eat daisies in small amounts. The Zürcher Tierschutz lists daisies for every day, but PDSA says fresh greens only once or twice a week. The Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) names them among fresh wild herbs, along with dandelion, plantain and clover. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) also suggests fresh herbs and flowers every day in summer, and the Swiss animal welfare society (STS) fresh herbs and flowers 2 to 3 times a week.

How to serve it: fresh – daily according to the Zürcher Tierschutz, though PDSA suggests fresh greens only once or twice a week

Good to know: PDSA says to introduce new foods slowly to avoid upsetting your degu’s stomach.
