Can degus eat peas?
Yes, but only a little: degus can eat peas. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) says dried peas make good treats, but only occasionally and in small amounts. The Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) lists pea flakes among foods to give only rarely, and PDSA lists peas for only once a month because of the sugar.
