Can hamsters eat currants?
Yes, but only a little: hamsters can eat currants. The German Animal Welfare Federation lists currants as suitable fruit, but only a little.
How to serve it: washed, just a few
Good to know: Our other hamster sources don’t mention currants. For dwarf hamsters, Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT) advises against fruit entirely, and Blue Cross mentions fruit as an occasional treat for Syrian hamsters only.
