Can hamsters eat cherries?

Better not: hamsters shouldn’t eat cherries. The German Animal Welfare Federation lists stone fruit such as cherries as unsuitable. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) says stone fruit must not be fed.

Good to know: Both name stone fruit in general rather than single kinds; plums belong to this group too.
