Can rats eat carrots?
Yes, but only a little: rats can eat carrots. RSPCA Australia lists carrots among daily vegetables, and Woodgreen names them as a treat. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) lists them as a suitable vegetable. The Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) includes carrots in its daily vegetables and calls them well suited. The PDSA’s chart, however, flags carrots as high in sugar, so we err on the side of caution.
How to serve it: washed, a small piece
