Yes, but only a little: rats can eat tomatoes. The Swiss animal welfare society (STS) lists tomatoes as a suitable vegetable but also warns that they can cause diarrhea. The Zurich animal welfare society (Zürcher Tierschutz) includes tomato in its daily vegetables and calls it well suited, so we err on the side of caution.
