Can budgies eat kiwi?
Yes, but only a little: budgies can eat kiwi. RSPCA Australia names kiwi among fruits that are digested slowly. Like all fruit, it should be a treat only.
How to serve it: peeled, a small piece
Good to know: None of our budgie-specific sources mentions kiwi, and we found no source on the skin or seeds. The German Animal Welfare Federation says to offer fruit only in small amounts because of its sugar, and RSPCA Australia calls fruit a treat. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT), on the other hand, lists fruit as part of the daily diet, so we err on the side of caution.
