Can budgies eat mango?
Yes, but only a little: budgies can eat mango. UC Davis includes mango on its fruit list for pet birds and says fruit should stay under 10% of the diet.
How to serve it: peeled, a small piece
Good to know: None of our budgie-specific sources mentions mango. The German Animal Welfare Federation says to offer fruit only in small amounts because of its sugar, and RSPCA Australia calls fruit a treat. Germany’s Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT), on the other hand, lists fruit as part of the daily diet, so we err on the side of caution.
